Stepping it Up for STEPtember

Every 20 hours, an Australian child is born with cerebral palsy resulting from damage to the developing brain.

This September, Amalgamotion took up the NSW Department of Customer Service’s challenge to participate in STEPtember 2021, setting a goal of 10,000 steps each day for each of the participants and raising much-needed awareness and funds to improve the lives of children and adults living with cerebral palsy.

In total 25 Amalgamotion team members participated in 6 different teams, with over 9.5 million steps logged during the challenge!

Congratulations to our winning team “AMN Thunderstorm” for contributing more than 2.1 million steps – that’s more than half a million steps by each member of the team! In addition, well over a thousand dollars was raised to support the STEPtember initiative, directly contributing to early intervention, life-changing technology and equipment, and ground-breaking research.

This was a great way to get active, get connected and foster teamwork across our business and partner organisations.

We look forward to taking up the challenge again next year!
