Placemaking NSW (PMNSW) owns and manages some of the State's most significant assets, including Sydney's heritage and cultural precincts at The Rocks and Darling Harbour. The Rocks and Darling Harbour are home to numerous popular attractions, boutique shopping, fine dining, art and culture.

With the adoption of 5G small cell technology by the three mobile network operators, PMNSW sought expertise to develop and operationalise a long term strategy to commercialise their portfolio of smart poles in these highly popular precincts, and provide strategic input into future smart pole investment and upgrade decisions.

Amalgamotion were engaged to review the existing PMNSW asset documentation and Facility Access Agreements that governed their precincts. Our engagement included developing a Go-To-Market approach in line with State governments obligations and acknowledging mobile network operators legislative rights. This included carrying out market research and the development of an Expression of Interest market engagement.
