NSW Telecommunications Authority (NSWTA) provide mission critical communications for emergency services, essential services and government agencies across New South Wales through their management of the Public Safety Network (PSN).
Through the CCEP program the NSW Telco Authority (NSWTA) were extending the coverage of the Public Safety network from 35% to 80% of the state and delivering interoperability between Public Safety Agencies.
The existing network was operated by a Managed Service Provider which was responsible for the service management and operational enviroment including the applicable tools. With the changes to the network, it was crucial that operating model was updated to ensure the NSWTA were ready for the increased network size, heightened expectations and broader customer base.
Amalgamotion were engaged to drive the capability and services uplift to the end users. This was initially through a managed service procurement process and later the via overseeing the transition activities. With Amalgamotion bringing its expertise to the table in support of the NSWTA the program was completed successfully. Key outcomes included resolving quality issues, assuring program delays were mitigated and ensuring a positive working environment was cultivated with the Public Safety Agencies.
