Outcome Based Contract Transition

Optus outcomes based contract transition

Client

Optus, Huawei and Nokia

Sector

IT and Telecommunications

Services

Optus is one of Australia’s leading Telecommunication companies, providing services to over 10 million people. To enhance its mobile service, it was transforming its network delivery ecosystem.

The transformation was moving from one single source supplier, whose contract was based on volumes, to dual suppliers utilising performance-based contracts. Amalgamotion was engaged, as an independent third party, to design and lead the transition.

Amalgamotion led a comprehensive transformation project focused on People, Culture, Capability, and Delivery/Operations that included the design and implementation of the future-state operating model.

In re-engineering program processes, Amalgamotion introduced new quality review criteria and acceptance processes, ensuring consistency and high standards across all phases.

The single, multi-party transition plan ensured a smooth collaboration and remote systems access for offshore resources, while navigating regulatory limitations to ensure compliance.
