The NSW Telecommunications Authority (NSWTA) provides mission-critical communications for emergency services, essential services, and government agencies across New South Wales through its Public Safety Network.
To enhance its capabilities and expand radio coverage from 35% to 80% of the state, the NSW TA network was undergoing a $1.4 billion infrastructure upgrade under the Critical Communications Enhancement Program.
Amalgamotion was engaged to transform the program management function, focusing on governance and reporting to ensure effective decision-making. This was particularly crucial given the number of Public Safety Agency stakeholders and delivery partners involved.
Following this, Amalgamotion’s role expanded to include specialist and engineering services such as:
- Site acquisition
- Operational health and safety
- Quality management and audit
- Site commissioning and integration
- Service readiness and acceptance
- Construction services
- RF planning and engineering
By leveraging Amalgamotion’s expertise and collaborative approach, NSWTA achieved a significant improvement in program planning and stakeholder engagement. This increased trust within the public safety community helped reinforce NSWTA’s role in delivering critical communications across New South Wales.
